In capturing that on film, I didn't set out to make some sort of political statement or timeless portrait. Wave Warriors IV is more like an abstract painting involving the senses. Experience it, escape into it, but don't turn away if you want to be a part of waht's happening right now. If you're expecting the same old thing in a bright new package, forget wave warriors IV; if you have any preconceived notions about what a surf film should be, then this movie isn't for you. It's simply an hour of pure entertainment, aimed at the kids out there who are plugged directly into the energy, and at the kid in all of us who dreams of riding with them.
