DescriptionThis surfboard is carved from solid redwood featuring dowels running through the board from side to side. This surfboard does not have a traditional fin and was shaped by the skilled hands of Joe Kukea. SHACC received a series of invaluable photos from Mike Gregg, one of which features Joe Kukea proudly holding this very board in the iconic surf location of Waikiki, right in front of the historic Outrigger Canoe Club, back in 1934. Joe's connection to the surfing legacy runs deep, as he was married to Ethel Harrison, sister of the legendary Whitey Harrison.
