DescriptionThis was Gerry’s personal board and although similar, it was not the one that he rode in the Pipeline Masters. Gerry had won this contest back in 1973 but lost this year to his friend and Pipe co-star, Rory Russell. This is the twin to the board featured in the famous shot of Jackie Dunn (another Pipeline dominator) dropping in at Pipeline and is pictured above. It is one of the most important surfboards associated with Pipeline’s infamous history and has been restored to it’s original condition.On View
