Description“Burrhead”, a local Laguna legend and early San Onofre regular renowned for his progressive surfing, made this board in 1948. This one-of-a-kind surfboard is distinctive because of the two “big wave” handles carved into the tail block, intended to make it easier to push through the big surf at Tijuana Slues. Burrhead later admitted, “It was a total failure.”On View
