DescriptionThis is a very early attempt at using new, lighter material, in this case styrofoam was glassed and covered with shellac since resin will eat through styrofoam. Modern polyurethane foam does not react this way. This is Velzy’s first styrofoam board. It is interesting to note that he was later to become one of the hold-outs in switching to foam, preferring to working with wood.On View
