DescriptionHerb Oelke, one-time Laguna Beach High School math teacher, made this board on the beach at St. Ann's in 1941. These boards were so heavy they were just left on the beach as they were too heavy to steal. Don Michels was its lucky owner. This board is plank style. It has solid redwood, balsa, & pine laminations. The board has a T-band in the center, 2 offset redwood stringers each side, and redwood rails. It has a small, 2" deep fin.On View
