DescriptionThis rare, original "1st logo surfboard" represents so much of the Dale Velzy impact on modern surfing: first to open s surf shop, first to put a logo on a board (this logo), first to put a name/logo on a t-shirt and first to sponsor a surfer. This board retains its original patina and is a very early example of a custom made wood/fiberglass board. Dale sold these "first logo" boards beginning iin 1950 from his first surf shop in Manhattan Beach. Excellent original condition balsa Velzy with the rare "rope logo".On View
