DescriptionWhile an official Catalina Equipment brass drain plug decorates the deck of this board, later models used metal that was prone to corroding. 1946-early 1950s, Catalina produced a number of styles of boards including square tail and pin tail surfboards and paddleboards in various sizes. They also manufactured tandem boards. Because of the company’s use of a non-waterproof glue in later years that caused delamination, along with the use of other inferior products, Blake disassociated himself from the company. The Red Cross Aquatic Schools were using these boards and were threatening to sue the company.On View
